Gotta luv Saturdays, Farmers Markets, and being with my Aaron

Last Saturday Aaron and I had an amazing day. I am going to document it from start to finish. First off we hit the MAVERIK gas station. My absolutely favorite place before I go anywhere..HA HA

When we finally got to the Farmers Market, we hit every produce vendor there and bought fresh corn, zucchini, mexican squash, golden squash, raspberrries, goat milk ice cream, lime and mint lemonade, organic doggy treats, and anything else we could find. We had a great lunch there too. I forgot to take a picture of mine but it was so delicious. It was from a RAW vendor and it was a piece of bread with organic pesto, zucchini, olives, tomatoes, sprouts and leaves of some kind. It was amazing! Sometimes I just love eating in the RAW!

My amazing mint and lime refreshment. Yes it was hot outside and I do love a liquid diet!

Organic doggie treats. The pups love them!

Just a couple random pictures of interesting things you can find at a Farmers Market

After the Market, we took off to Solitude and hiked our favorite disc golf course. It was a gorgeous day and a good work out. We only spent a few holes looking for our discs that we threw into the trees. I'll tell you one thing, Aaron is sooooo good and he can throw the disc a mile! ha ha.  Here are some pics of our outing.

Here is my favorite disc...the Dragon!
Aaron's favorite disc...the Destroyer!

See the basket??

Last Hole...

And last, but not least we hit our favorite restaurant Citris Grill. Dinner was so appetizing. So to say the least Aaron and I had a pretty awesome day. After we ate we even had the energy to stop in and see our friends that have all moved into Saratoga Springs area. It was great!!

Pleased as punch, and with another DP :)

Lamontagne

Well first off I have to write about my new shoes! They are so amazing. Here's the story behind them...

A couple of years ago my friend Kira and I turned some plain white slip on VANS into art work. It was so much fun. This time Kira took it into her own hands and created Masterpieces! She did such an amazing job on my new Vans that I don't even think I should wear them out! I will of course be wearing them in a month when Aaron and I go see one of our favorite music artists, Ray Lamontagne. We cannot wait for this trip, we get to go have some fun in Vegas! And my sister Jessica and her hubbie Jon are joining us as well.
Here are a few shots of my new kicks, hope you like them. If you're interested in getting a pair and have lots of fun ideas, let me know!
THANKS KIRA!

By the way this handsome man on my shoe is RAY LAMONTAGNE, love, love love him!!!!

Telluride, CO....

We finally took a vacation! We met up with my family for a few days and had a great time in Telluride. It is so beautiful. We rode the Gandola everyday into town and went shopping up and down the city streets. They have so many fun stores for everyone. There's plenty of great restaurants and parks for the family. There's tons of fishing and hiking too! The weather was perfect during the days and it cooled off at night for us. We watched the fireworks from the top of the mountain this year, and it was a lot of fun.

I really had a great time visiting with my family and holding my new nephew, Sterling. He is the cutest thing ever and is so good all the time! He just wants to be held and fed. My brother Josh and Natalie are the cutest parents ever. They love Sterling so much, and he looks just like the both of them.

We also got to spend time with all of my cousins. It is so fun catching up and seeing how we have all grown up and gone different directions. After all these years, we still have a great time together.

We stayed in Mountain Village at the coolest cabin home I have ever been in....See pictures below. We played disc golf right down the road through the mountains. We went hot tubbing the first night we were there and crammed as many of us in it as we could fit! We rode the Gandola to and from everywhere. The dogs loved it, the kids loved it, and we loved it too.

On our way to Colorado for the 4th of July, Aaron and I stopped in Moab and hiked to the Delicate Arch. Well it was amazing of course, but the hike nearly killed me. It was so hot!!! I thought I was going to pass out from the heat. I've never felt more out of shape! ha ha. I better get out hiking more! Aaron had never hiked through the Arches, so that is why I decided on the Delicate Arch first. It is truly beautiful.
After the couple hour hike, we went into town to cool off and get some lunch. We ate at Pasta Jay's ( I think that's the name) and sat on the cool outside deck. We were so full afterwards....We then headed onto Dolores, CO.

Summer days and sick days...

Well it is finally pretty warm here in Provo, and the skies are mostly blue. With the sun comes the swimming....We bought this plastic pool for the doggies and they love it! It is so hilarious to come outside and see them just sitting in the water. They know how to cool themselves off. Especially furry Atlas!

Atlas has had a rough week...He has been totally sick since we left for Colorado. And now a week after we return, he is finally coming around. After two visits to the vet, lots of money :(, still no answers. The doctor ruled out the major possibilities of things like parvo, giardia, large intsetine bugs or worms, etc... BUT couldn't find what was actually wrong with him. I have never had a dog so sick. Aaron and I were so worried about him. We fed him a bland diet and got him on some antibiotics. We also gave him Pepto which actually helped a ton! We kind of thought he might have eaten something and it got stuck inside somewhere creating a blockage. But today he is almost back to full health. Who knows what happened to the poor guy?? We tried our hardest to help him, but sometimes things just have to take their course. Meanwhile he got a nice bath and has been living it up inside with the a/c and fans.
