Summer's almost here, and the sprinklers aren't working yet!!

So we've only been in the house for a few weeks, and the list of things that need doing just seems to get bigger. One in particular that keeps looming as the weather warms up is the sprinklers. There's at least two that need to be replaced (chopped off by the lawn mower last year), and the dog chewed up a section of funny pipe that waters the trees. So hopefully this Saturday we can get it up and running. It seems like every Saturday for the foreseeable future will be consumed with yard work... lame.

We're hoping to take some trips in May, but we're still deciding if it's a possibility. We want to go to Albuquerque to visit our new nephew Sterling and his parents, but we also want to go to Parowan for my Grandpa's 94th Birthday. Hopefully we can make it to both!

I just started a new job as the Internet Marketing Manager for a company called Invaluable, Inc. out of Lehi, UT. I'm excited to be trying something new and it seems like there is a lot of potential with the company, so that's a plus.

Julie and I are excited for the summer and hope to take some camping trips here soon!

Moved and still unpacking

This weekend was long and tiresome. We had so much to unpack and organize....I did most of it on Thursday and Friday with some help from my friend Sarah. I wanted to thank everyone that helped move us on Wednesday. All the guys did so much, and it saved us a lot of time. My in-laws brought over a great dinner for everyone and supported us through the night. It was a great time. I am going to miss Springville and the fact that it's just not Provo. I loved our condo and the newness of it, but we are grateful for the renters that have moved into it. The condo was our first place together, which holds sentimental value for me.
Hopefully someday we can move into a place that we both picked out and love together. So far I keep moving into "Aaron's homes" that he bought before we got married! Who knows what time will bring us. Meanwhile we are going to try to renovate the old house into something more updated and modern. Hopefully it won't put us under completely :) I have already started picking out the paint colors and bathroom renovation ideas. If they all work out, then it will be a blast to get them done.
Next thing on my list to do is also the yard maintenance. I don't normally like yard work....so we'll see how far this goes. I want to plant and grow things, and save energy everywhere I can. But it's funny that to save energy, you have to spend more money!!!
Has anyone ever built a rain water catcher? I wish it rained here more, so I can do that. It's a great idea to save water on the yard...Well Summer is almost here!!!! and everyone leaves school and town for a couple months, and the traffic dies a little too. So nice...

Easter baby!!

Our new nephew was born yesterday on Easter!! If anyone knew the story about this little family, it would break your hearts. He is truly a blessing to this family. My brother Josh and Natalie had their son yesterday evening in Albuquerque. He was 8 lbs. and 13 ounces! Such a big boy for little Natalie, but she hung in there. They named him Sterling Paul. Our family couldn't be more grateful and happy for Josh and Natalie. They couldn't be better parents and Sterling is so lucky to be blessed with such a great family.
Sterling's older sister, Amelie, is so proud of him and her parents. She is smiling down on them and weeping with joy with our Heavenly Father. He truly sent a blessing to my brother and Natalie. I couldn't be happier or more proud of my brother and his wife for their strength and love towards each other.
I hope to visit them soon and see baby Sterling!! Pictures to come soon...
